Melville Road tram terminus upgrade

The Route 58 tram terminus at Melville Road, Pascoe Vale South will be upgraded in 2020.

The project will build a safe, accessible platform stop that makes it easier for everyone to catch the tram.

The upgraded stop will allow passengers using wheelchairs and parents with prams to easily board and travel on the tram. New signalised pedestrian crossings and safety fencing will also improve safety for all passengers and the local community.

By constructing a dual lane turnaround, the new terminus will also contribute to tram service reliability.

More information about the upgrade, including timing for construction will be available in the coming months.
