Traffic management in a residential area

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit their feedback.

The Minister for Road Safety and the TAC has approved the making of the new Road Safety (Traffic Management) Regulations 2019 (Regulations). The new Regulations came into operation on 26 October 2019 and replace the previous Road Safety (Traffic Management) Regulations 2009.

The Department of Transport received six submissions commenting on the draft Regulations. The Department has considered all submissions received and has recommended the making of the new Regulations in the same form as proposed in the RIS, with the inclusion of some minor and technical amendments. The submissions did not raise any new issues or information that was not already examined and considered in the RIS, or that would warrant the Regulations not being made as proposed. An analysis of the issues raised and the Department’s responses is available.

The new Regulations can be downloaded from www.legislation.vic.gov.au or purchased from the TIMG Bookshop.
